Big Block Mustangs: Are they Muscle Cars, Pony Cars, or Hot Rods?
My official position on this matter is that big block Mustangs are all three. If anyone wants to engage in a half-way intelligent discussion on this matter, feel free to spill your guts. My email address is posted someplace around here...
The Work Thus Far
This Mustang was in fair shape when I first saw it. But there wasn't much curb appeal and I hate white vehicles. They remind me of the years I was institutionalized with all the shock treatments, torture therapy and chemical experiments but that's another story...
Anyhow, the car was solid, had a 351 Cleveland V-8, a factory Hurst 4-speed, Ram Air hood, gauge package and electric windows. A good starting point plus the price was right, so I bought the car. My 14-year old son, Trey, and I immediately gave it a good cleaning, then we put on the front and rear spoilers. Next we ditched the skinny tires and hubcaps, replacing them with 15x8 Magnum 500 wheels and 275x60 Dunlop GT Qualifier tires. We then took off the stock rear valance and whimpy turn-down exhaust, replacing them with '71 Mach One items including massive chrome tail pipes. Latest item was the "351 Ram Air" decals for the hood. Now we're rockin'.

Convertibles: Accept No Substitutes!
I dig hardtops, especially fastback Mustangs, but convertibles are special. This is my fourth convertible, and I'm searching for another convertible, a late model Mustang, for my wife.
